Pen + Pencil + Rubber band + Duct Tape = Crossbow?

I can't even keep a short term goal as simple as making a blog post four days in a row. At least I have one today, with some pretty interesting stuff. First off, a few weeks ago I finally got around to using the book my mom got for me; "Mini Weapons of Mass Destruction", and built a crossbow out of a pen, it's casing, a pencil, a rubber band, and duct tape. If you can't seem to visualize it, I included a helpful picture.

It has a beautiful range of 20 - 25 feet. The only reason I haven't blogged about this before now is that I fired it earlier and the rubber band snapped. Only once I replaced it did I decide to blog about it. It's ammo is the inside of a pen, the part with the ink. I had to duct tape the tip to keep ink from splattering all over the walls!

I decided not to make this next part the title in order to make sure I didn't give anything away, but I'm sure at least a few of the readers of this already know. After taking the SSAT (secondary school admission test) a grand total of four times, I finally got into Uni High (University Laboratory High School)! In addition, I'm seriously thinking about going as a sub-freshman. Because this is such a great school to be in, I've made it my personal goal to work harder. Starting now, I'm going to try to update the blog more frequently as well as cutting down on my computer games. On Wednesday I'm going to go and check the place out. Meaning I arrive at eight and leave at four. School hours. Wish me luck!

Perdido

Funny how my last post was a day less than a month after the one before that, and this post is a month and one day after my last post. But seriously, I've been dying to do a blog post for quite a while now. The only problem is I had no footage of my new helicopter that I bought. I still don't. But yes, I did buy a tiny remote controlled helicopter pretty much just for fun. I fly it around and no matter how hard it crashes, it almost never breaks. When I say almost I mean something finally did go wrong with it by the time I ran it into the wall for the thousandth time. I haven't really picked it up since. We plan to get it fixed Monday.

Not a lot has happened since my last post surprisingly enough. I did perform a couple of times since then, so I decided to add a video of one of our jazz band songs, my personal favorite, Perdido! I have no solo in here, but you'll live.

I try to never do a blog post that doesn't have pictures or video in it.

Yeah, for this 4 day weekend I plan to do a blog post every day, because actually, it's pretty fun. McKinley is certainly better at keeping up with her blog though. Rock on!
